Replaces the factory post-cat resonated downpipe with an AWE Resonated Downpipe
For the enthusiast interested in a more aggressive sound, we offer the AWE Resonated Performance (50 state legal) Downpipe. By replacing the large stock resonator with a more compact but still straight-through unit, we were able to increase sound volume while adding a slightly deeper tone. The AWE Resonated Performance Downpipe will mate to the AWE exhaust system, or any other exhaust designed to work with the stock downpipe.

Additional sound level tuning
For the enthusiast interested in a more aggressive sound, we offer our Downpipe. The factory unit contains a fairly large straight through resonator. By replacing this large piece with a more compact but still straight through resonator, we were able to increase sound volume while adding a slightly deeper tone. Testing showed no power increase in adding the downpipe. It will mate to our exhaust system or any other exhaust designed to work with the stock downpipe.
Please note: This product cannot be returned or exchanged based upon sound satisfaction.
Precision Welding
As with all AWE Tuning exhaust products, each weld is hand finished internally, only butt-welded junctions are used, and flange openings are size matched to their ports, all to produce the smoothest flow possible. Compatible with the Sedan and Avant, the AWE Tuning A4 Touring Edition Exhaust and Downpipe rise to the occasion of unlocking performance. Our Audi A4 2.0T exhausts have earned praise from owners and the press alike, due to their unique Jekyll and Hyde personality. A4 Research and Development has yielded an exhaust that is remarkably civil while idling / part throttle cruising, but unleashed at full throttle it produces what some have called a war-cry wail.

Making good better
The stock A4 exhaust system has crimped tubing that obstructs exhaust flow, and robs horsepower. We fixed that. The AWE Tuning A4 Touring Edition Exhaust and Downpipe was designed using CAD modeling software to produce smooth gradual bends, eliminating flow interference. These improvements to the exhaust path result in gains of 8-9 horsepower and 6-7 lb ft of torque at the crank.
Sound Perfection: AWE Tuning 180 Technology™
As exhaust gases exit the 2.0L Turbo engine and flow into an AWE Tuning 180 Technologyequipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports, and into reflection chambers. Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. By controlling the size and location of the ports and the chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves re-join the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies. Each tip variation is available in standard Chrome Silver or our recognized Diamond Black plating. The tips sport engraved AWE Tuning logos and are double-walled to ensure a mirror polish, even under hard usage. Each tip is individually adjustable, so stagger and depth into bumper can be set according to personal taste.

For Non S-Line clients who would like an AWE Tuning Quad Tip Exhaust System, our carbon fiber rear valance is designed to allow quad tip fitment on all non S-Line B8 A4's. Originally, an OEM S-Line rear bumper and OEM S4 rear valance were required for proper fitment of the AWE Tuning B8 A4 Quad Tip Exhaust System, but the B8 A4 Non S-line Quad Tip Valances are a simple alternative to a much more expensive option.

Start at the original place of purchase. 100% of claims start with the original place of purchase, and all refunds, if granted, are through the original place of purchase. Call them first.
If you remove, we can not approve. If a product issue is discovered after installation, do not remove the product before receiving confirmation of a return approval from the original place of purchase. On-car information can often lead to diagnosis and action plans; AWE requires a chance to address in this manner. Post-install products removed prior to return authorization will be denied any warranty claim.
Any alterations or attempts to fix will void the warranty. This includes welding, bending, or any ad-hoc methods that alter the product in any way.
All warranties are for the original owner only. Second owners can purchase replacement components at a discount, directly from AWE or from participating dealers.
Manufacturer defect is defined as any characteristic of the product which hinders its usability for the purpose for which it was designed and manufactured. The warranty against manufacturer defects doesn’t cover any cosmetic changes, or normal use wear and tear. All warranties cease at a product’s discontinuance. Here’s a quick summary of our products and how long each is covered for manufacturer defects: All AWE brand products. Please note that special order items are not returnable.

In the event of a return, a product must be returned with no signs of abuse, incorrect installation, forced installation, motorsports usage, or product altering whatsoever. Any trace of the aforementioned will result in warranty denial.
AWE's One Year Tip Finish Warranty covers defects on AWE tips for a period of one year from purchase date. Exclusions to the AWE One Year Tip Finish Warranty: (1) Pinhole sized pitting on the inside of tips, which is considered normal wear and tear, and (2) Blemishes or marring of appearance due to weather, road hazards, lack of maintenance (defined in next sentence) or extremes of heat or cold. Thorough periodic cleaning of AWE tips is required as general maintenance, and must be done prior to submitting a warranty claim on tips, as returned tips found to have been dirty (and not defective) will have forfeited any core charges.

Cancellations: Instock orders cannot be canceled due to our automated ordering & fast shipping system. To keep our prices low, all cancelations are subject to a 5% cancelation fee to cover transaction processing fees. We reserve the right to charge up to a 10% cancellation fee for cancelled orders due to merchant fees, Special Order fees and the cost of processing and shipping orders.When you request a cancellation of an order or a part, please note that it may take time for a manufacturer to cancel an order if the order is drop-shipped. Returns: We cannot accept returns on parts that have been used or installed. No returns will be accepted after 30 days. All Returns must be in original packaging. Lost Order Claims All lost order/package claims must be made within 5 days of the shipping date or tracking information delivery date. All claimes made after this date will not be accepted due to Shipping companies policies of filing loss claims.
Damaged Items or Incorrect Items: Please contact us right away if your item has been damaged in shipping or are incorrect. Please note that we will ship replacement items the same method of shipping the order was originally placed for. LMPerformance can not ship packages overnight at our cost if the original shipping was not also overnight. Claims must be filed in order for replacement parts to be shipped.
Warranties:Any warranty claims must be placed with the manufacturer. All of the products sold by LMPerformance, regardless of the manufacturer, are designed for Racing and Performance applications. Many of our manufacturers offer NO WARRANTY on their products, either stated or implied, due to the unusual stresses placed on the parts and because we have no control over how they are installed and used.
