Air Lift

About Air Lift

Quality and safety are undoubtedly necessary in a suspension system and GE Engineer Claude Pemberton and Oldsmobile Toronado developer Don Perkins recognized this was essential in a car’s suspension system so they took it upon themselves in 1949 to correct the then problem of sagging springs. Hence the creation of the inimitable Air Lift Company and the start of a remarkable history in innovation.

Recognizing the need for a product in the marketplace is a key to success and Air Lift certainly has done that throughout the years. With the advent of the stock car boom in the 50’s and 60’s came the need to develop a product that would improve handling and traction in the difficult situations racing provided and so Air Lift‘s team went on to do just that and they are still producing products for the competition arena today.

Car innovation and demand for styles are continually evolving and the success of the pickup trucks and SUVs are prime examples of this and, of course, there came with this the need for suspension systems that would support things like towing and hauling. And Air Lift, being the forward thinking company they are, went on to develop primo air springs that allowed you to level your vehicle and thus tow safely,

Fast forward to the late 90s and once again Air Lift recognized the need for a suspension system that would lower custom vehicles; hence, the creation of the Easy Street Division of Air Lift that not only afforded a lower stance but also could be raised when it was necessary to clear an obstacle. The success of full air suspension in mini-trucks offered Air Lift yet another opportunity to introduce a product that was second to none with compressor system technology, air springs and air struts.

The Easy Street name has been changed to Air Lift Performance but nothing has changed about the company’s determination to give their customers a product that meets their expectations in handling performance, providing a lowered stance and the piece de resistance, the ability to raise and lower the car with the push of a button.

Take a look at the Performance Series Air Suspension from Air Lift Performance and you will find a product that can be adjusted with the touch of a button and twist of a knob that lets you drive your car on the road or on the track with an eye catching stance. The system is, of course, a Bolt on OEM Replacement, with most kits offering up to three inches of threaded adjustability and monotube shock internals that run cooler, are more sensitive and weigh less than twin tube shocks. The easily tuned dampers offer thirty levels of adjustment so you are certain to find a setting that meets your expectations and adjustable camber plates that help you achieve maximum chassis performance.

True to its heritage of innovation Air Lift has introduced their all new 3H/3P Height and Pressure air management system that employs both height and pressure sensors to afford the most ingenious air suspension control to date. Whatever your needs Air Lift Performance is certain to provide you with a product that will meet your expectations.
