Launching harder, reducing wheel hop, and adding cornering consistency to your 1979-2004 Ford Mustang is easy with upper control arms from BMR's suspension. Stock control arms with soft rubber bushings deflect under load and absorb power instead of transferring it to the tires. BMRs polyurethane, on-car adjustable tubular control arms for Mustangs (UTCA014) are manufactured from heavy-duty 1 5/8 inch, 0.120-inch wall DOM steel tubing. The center adjuster is CNC-machined from chrome-moly steel with rolled threads for the ultimate in strength and durability. The arms feature TIG-welded chrome-moly tube adapters. This design gives you a strong control arm that greatly improves performance. Two-inch greasable, 95-durometer bushings add a solid, more responsive feel over the stock rubber bushings. BMRs bushings are internally fluted, which keeps grease in the bushing, even under heavy load. These flutes also direct grease to the outer edge of the bushing, keeping the thrust surface lubricated. This efficient lubrication ensures quiet, reliable operation over the life of the bushings.BMR's suspension designed the UTCA014 to work well in street performance, drag race, and road race applications. The stock control arms flex under even light cornering loads giving you inconsistent handling characteristics.
Combine this with soft bushings that have massive amounts of deflection and youre left with poor performance. The UTCA014s heavy-duty construction eliminates control arm flex, giving you much improved repeatability on the street, starting line, or in the corners. BMRs polyurethane bushings are designed to be compliant enough to give you a comfortable ride and absorb NVH, while remaining firm enough to stand up to high loads of any performance environment. The bushings easily handle the high compression loads of hard launches and hard acceleration, yet offer plenty of articulation for great handling. The adjustable design allows for fine-tuning of the pinion angle for proper driveline alignment. These are the perfect upgrade for the enthusiast looking to improve performance, while maintaining acceptable NVH levels and ride quality. Stock control arms are marginal at best. Bushing deflection combined with control arm flex creates erratic handling and inconsistent rear end stability when subjected to the added loads of performance driving. BMR control arms are built using 1-5/8 x .120 DOM tubing and utilize 1/4 thick mounting plates for a bulletproof combination. Upper control arms are available in either fixed or adjustable versions. Adjustable uppers allow on-car adjustability by simply loosening the jamnuts and turning the adjuster. This allows you to adjust your pinion angle without unbolting the control arm, a convenience not offered by most other companies. These adjusters are by far the strongest in the industry. Made from 1-1/8 CNC machined steel and then zinc plated for corrosion resistance, they truly are overkill! Both upper and lowers are available with either polyurethane bushings or Teflon lined spherical bearings. With our variety of choices, we have control arms that are equally at home on the street, drag strip or road coarse. Available standard in your color choice of red or black powdercoat, additional colors also available by special order.
One difference you will notice from our other control arms is the race style spherical bearings that are available on both upper and lower models. These are the highest quality, Teflon lined QA1 bearings available and we use custom, CNC machined stainless spacers that ensure full articulation without bind. This makes them great for both drag race or road race applications and they are also available with standard polyurethane bushings for the typical street car buyer.

Special Order ITEMS: Some items are Special Ordered and may not be returnable, or even cancellable as they are going into production specifically because you ordered them. Special Ordered items can have a 5-35% cancelation fee.
Cancellations: Instock orders cannot be canceled due to our automated ordering & fast shipping system. To keep our prices low, all cancelations are subject to a 5% cancelation fee to cover transaction processing fees. We reserve the right to charge up to a 10% cancellation fee for cancelled orders due to merchant fees, Special Order fees and the cost of processing and shipping orders.When you request a cancellation of an order or a part, please note that it may take time for a manufacturer to cancel an order if the order is drop-shipped. We also have to confirm that the product has not shipped. Returns: We cannot accept returns on parts that have been used or installed. No returns will be accepted after 30 days. All Returns must be in original packaging. Prior authorization must be given before any return can be made. Up to a 25% Restocking Fee may apply. Special Orders may be subject to Additional Manufacturer Restock Fees as well. Shipping cost will not be refunded.Hoods as well as PCM Programmers may not be returned unless defective and only for replacement. Lost Order Claims All lost order/package claims must be made within 5 days of the shipping date or tracking information delivery date. All claimes made after this date will not be accepted due to Shipping companies policies of filing loss claims.
Damaged Items or Incorrect Items: Please contact us right away if your item has been damaged in shipping or are incorrect. Please note that we will ship replacement items the same method of shipping the order was originally placed for. LMPerformance can not ship packages overnight at our cost if the original shipping was not also overnight. Claims must be filed in order for replacement parts to be shipped.
Warranties:Any warranty claims must be placed with the manufacturer. All of the products sold by LMPerformance, regardless of the manufacturer, are designed for Racing and Performance applications. Many of our manufacturers offer NO WARRANTY on their products, either stated or implied, due to the unusual stresses placed on the parts and because we have no control over how they are installed and used.
