    Beginning 2001, automobile manufacturers traded mechanical throttle cables for Electronic Throttle Control (a.k.a. drive-by-wire). In response to this technology, Off Road Engineering LLC introduced its popular H.I.C. series (U.S. Patent # 7013868). This series is designed specifically for industrial applications, and offers a variety of options.
