About HKS

HKS specializes in aftermarket high-performance auto parts engineering and manufacturing. It is one of the most well-known aftermarket brands in the world. Formed in 1973, and named after founders Hasegawa, Kitagawa, and Sigma, HKS began with a vision to tune and manufacture high-performance engine components and turbo kits that surpasses OE manufacturers. HKS introduced the world’s first turbo kit for the SKYLINE (GC100) L20 engine in 1974. It had improvements of 40% over the stock power numbers. In the time since, it has become an industry leader in turbo kit design and performance.

While its roots are in turbocharger systems, the company currently manufactures high-quality products for various areas of vehicle modification including suspension, tuning, exhaust, and supercharger kits.

If you are in the market for something like a cold air intake for your racing machine or other vehicle or some other performance part you want to trust the company who designed and manufactured the part. You want a leader in the aftermarket performance parts industry who has a history of longevity and improvisation and one who has as its goal making you a satisfied customer and one such company is HKS.

Dissatisfaction with the high performance engines and components manufactured by the original equipment manufacturers led to the creation of a company dedicated to the designing and manufacturing of primo high performance engines and engine components. In 1973, this desire to make a superior product spurred Hiroyuki Hasegawa and his partner Mr. Kitagawa on to form the company known as HKS and to think it all originated in a dairy-farming shed with the tuning of gasoline powered engines.

In just the short period of a year Mr. Hasegawa designed and built the first aftermarket turbocharger for passenger cars and introduced the world’s first turbo kit for the SKYLINE L20 engine and now the rest is history. HKS has a compilation of firsts to its credit earning the company its coveted premier place in the aftermarket performance industry by introducing such impressive products as the first commercially available electronic turbo timer and booster controller, the piggy back fuel computers and sophisticated fuel management tools.

This is all possible because HKS is aware of the needs of their customers and they are committed to giving them what they deserve by offering them a product that is both reliable and environmentally sound and that meets the consumer’s requirements. They are able to do this by listening to their consumers and meeting their demands on things like the caliber of materials used, appearance, sound quality, performance and ease of installation. HKS and its employees recognize that this is a necessary part of their product development and ultimate company success.

HKS has been in the business of improving and designing parts for your car for over a quarter century and has been repeatedly tested in a multiplicity of venues like drag racing, road racing, rallying and of course high speed trials. Competition records using many “off the shelf” race proven HKS components offer proof positive that HKS has earned its premier place in the performance arena.

And now the piece de resistance, HKS now has a state of the art manufacturing and research and development facility that is 100,000 square feet and all designed to create the best for the consumer and allowing them to stay ahead of the competition. The list of HKS performance parts is extensive and includes such things as exhaust systems, oil coolers, fuel pressure regulators, transmissions, downpipes, drop-in filters, pistons, superchargers, intake systems and coilovers.

If you just take a look at the company’s policies: manufacturing HKS parts from the customer’s viewpoint, improving the quality of all products, acting from a worldwide viewpoint, creating a market and protecting the environment then you can see why HKS is a world leader in the aftermarket performance industry and success speaks for itself.

Nissan

These are some of the items you can find at LMPerformance for your Nissan

LMPerformance carries parts for 60 Nissan models and yours is one of them whether it be one of the fastest Nissan's ever produced like the 200SX, the 240SX, or the Pulsar, or one of the most popular like the ALTAMA, Pathfinder or Frontier. For your Nissan ALTIMA, 370Z and 350Z there are The EIBACH PRO-KIT performance springs, the perfect answer for most frequently-driven street cars to dramatically improve both a vehicle's performance and appearance. PRO-KIT precisely lowers your car's center of gravity, reducing squat during acceleration, body roll in corners and excessive nose-dive under braking. Or the EIBACH SPORTLINE springs for your Nissan 200SX, 350Z or your 370Z the extreme-performance spring set created for the extreme enthusiast - the one who craves a race-car attitude for maximum street performance - with the lowest possible drop, but with the exceptional ride quality you expect from EIBACH. Or the B&G lowering springs that are wound from high tensile Chromium-Silicone wire purchased from Europe’s premium mines and cold wound on CNC coilers; heat treated and shot peened for longevity; and finished with phosphate treatment and a baked on resin powder coating for a hard corrosion resistant shell. Just use our 24 hour online service to find the right EIBACH or B&G springs for your Nissan model.

Your Nissan Skyline, SENTRA, Maxima, 240SX, 300Z and original equipment radiator only channels away about 30 percent of the heat generated by your engine but efficiently managing the heat effectively will benefit your Nissan by making it more efficient in terms of horsepower and will result in better use of your performance modifications, Aftermarket MISHIMOTO radiators expand cooling capacity and are designed to outperform your original radiator. The diameter of the cooling tubes is the determining factor in greater efficiency and copper/brass cooling tubes must be small because the material isn't rigid enough to support wider-diameter tubes but the strength provided with Aluminum allows for broader cooling tubes, providing greater surface area, which increases heat transfer capacity. The MISHIMOTO brand is an outstanding cooling system affording you a cooler engine and lifetime warranty and they are application specific and can directly fit on your Nissan,

The Original Equipment headers for your Nissan are ordinarily designed to take up a minimum of space and aftermarket performance headers are installed in order to boost the rate of exhaust flow out of your Nissan engine. The tubes on aftermarket performance headers are generally bigger in diameter than the runners on a manifold and they are mandrel bent to assure the opening of the pipe stays the same radius where it curves. American Racing Headers are engineered and constructed using 304 Stainless Steel and are fabricated with precision cut, 3/8-inch warp-resistant and leak-free stainless steel flanges. The primary tubes are individualized for your specific engine output to prevent any concession being afforded to a tight engine bay. And for your 350Z there is the inimitable Billy Boat Exhausts with exhaust systems that look good as well as sound good. B&B products are polished to a showroom finish and the exhaust systems are available with several different tip styles. Need a dual exhaust for your 350Z then try INVIDIA Gemini, designed for primarily dual exhaust vehicles. As with all INVIDIA Exhausts, the Gemini cat-back exhaust systems combine are exceptional in quality and design and the performance is outstanding. The INVIDIA Gemini exhaust system, with its high quality mandrel-bent stainless steel tubing, robot-TIG welding and polished finish are sure to meet your Nissan needs. The Invidia Gemini muffler gives your Nissan a deep and toned exhaust sound without being excessively loud. The INVIDIA Gemini exhaust systems are of a Cat-Back design which replace all the piping from underneath your vehicle after the catalytic converter. Most INVIDIA Gemini cat-back exhausts are available in 3 tip styles: rolled stainless steel tips, rolled titanium tips, straight titanium tips. And for your 370Z there is DC Sports Headers of T304SS stainless and/or T409SS ceramic coated for protection and finish, plus the Intake is high flow, open element.

Body kits make your Nissan 350Z and 370Z visually more aggressive - a plus when it comes to drawing attention on the street, or even in a parking lot. DURAFLEX aerodynamics, a miscellany of fiberglass, plastic, and flex resins creating sui generis features that provide an extraordinarily durable product that ships well and can withstand abuse. For better road handling and race Performance the addition of body parts by DURAFLEX are a proven winner when it comes to improve aerodynamics.
