HKS specializes in aftermarket high-performance auto parts engineering and manufacturing. It is one of the most well-known aftermarket brands in the world. Formed in 1973, and named after founders Hasegawa, Kitagawa, and Sigma, HKS began with a vision to tune and manufacture high-performance engine components and turbo kits that surpasses OE manufacturers. HKS introduced the world’s first turbo kit for the SKYLINE (GC100) L20 engine in 1974. It had improvements of 40% over the stock power numbers. In the time since, it has become an industry leader in turbo kit design and performance.

While its roots are in turbocharger systems, the company currently manufactures high-quality products for various areas of vehicle modification including suspension, tuning, exhaust, and supercharger kits.

In just the short period of a year Mr. Hasegawa designed and built the first aftermarket turbocharger for passenger cars and introduced the world’s first turbo kit for the SKYLINE L20 engine and now the rest is history. HKS has a compilation of firsts to its credit earning the company its coveted premier place in the aftermarket performance industry by introducing such impressive products as the first commercially available electronic turbo timer and booster controller, the piggy back fuel computers and sophisticated fuel management tools.

This is all possible because HKS is aware of the needs of their customers and they are committed to giving them what they deserve by offering them a product that is both reliable and environmentally sound and that meets the consumer’s requirements.
