Since the early 1980’s when Ford released the now famous 5.0L HO engine, Flowmaster- Equipped Mustangs have become the signature sound of the modern muscle car era. Flowmaster’s new axle-back system for the latest generation of 05-08 Mustang’s delivers improved performance, looks and a sound reminiscent of those early 5.0L cars. Featuring Classic square cased 40 Series® mufflers, the kit follows the factory exhaust routing, utilizes the factory hanger mounting points and includes all necessary mounting hardware for an easy and perfect fitment. Designed for the serious enthusiast who really wants to hear their pony breathe, these mufflers produce a deep and aggressive exterior tone on the throttle, along with a considerable amount of interior sound. FLOWMASTER CLAIMS POLICY: All claims for wrong item received, damages and/or shortages MUST be made within 10 days after receipt of shipment. Please be sure to inspect your order upon receiving it and let us know right away if there are any issues. PLEASE NOTE: Most manufacturers will not issue a Return merchandise authorization for claims of this nature if the claim is not made within the above stated time frame.
Lifetime Limited Warranty applies to Flowmaster stainless steel mufflers (excluding FlowFX series), all stainless steel exhaust systems (including FlowFX series), stainless steel pipes, air intake kits and oiled type filters (except cleaning kits), and other stainless steel exhaust accessories (except exhaust tips and racing products).
Three (3) Year Limited Warranty applies to Flowmaster aluminized steel mufflers, aluminized steel exhaust systems, aluminized steel pipes, exhaust tips and other non-race exhaust accessories.
Two (2) Year Limited Warranty applies to Delta Force Dry air intake filter elements.
One (1) Year Limited Warranty applies to FlowFX series mufflers, Elite Series exhaust headers and electronic components such as Delta Boost modules.
Flowmaster, Inc. (“Flowmaster”) extends the following limited warranty to the original purchaser of its mufflers, exhaust systems, pipes, exhaust tips, headers and other non-race accessories (hereafter “products”), excluding catalytic converters sold under the Flowmaster brand. Flowmaster warrants the products mentioned above against defects in materials and workmanship for the period set forth below, when they are owned by the original purchaser and remain installed on the vehicle on which they were originally installed. This warranty is void if the product was not installed properly on the vehicle, was installed on a vehicle for which it was not designed, or was removed from the vehicle on which it was originally installed and reinstalled on another vehicle. This warranty shall not apply to normal wear, including interior/exterior sound levels, cosmetic issues such as coatings and material discoloration, any product that was installed on a racing vehicle, installed improperly or contrary to Flowmaster instructions, altered, misused, repaired, damaged from an accident, collision, undercarriage road impact or debris, or willful or negligent act. Note that all “straight-through” mufflers which use sound absorbing material inside the muffler to cancel sound…will degrade over time. This degradation of sound absorbing materials is considered “normal wear”…not a material defect.
The warranty set forth herein for Flowmaster stainless steel mufflers (except FlowFX), all stainless steel exhaust systems, stainless steel pipes, stainless steel exhaust accessories (except exhaust tips) and air intake kits and oiled type filters (except cleaning kits), extends for a period of the life of the original vehicle the product was installed on. The warranty set forth herein for Flowmaster aluminized steel mufflers, aluminized steel exhaust systems, aluminized steel pipes, all exhaust tips and non-race exhaust accessories and commercial applications of aluminized steel products or stainless steel products extends for a period of three (3) years from the date of original purchase and the original vehicle it was installed on. The warranty set forth herein for Flowmaster dry air intake filter elements extends for a period of two (2) years from the date of original purchase and the original vehicle it was installed on. The warranty set forth herein for Flowmaster Exhaust headers, FlowFX mufflers, and Delta Boost modules extends for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase and the original vehicle it was installed on. Header warranty does not cover damages caused by exhaust insulating wrap, and is void if the product was installed on a new or rebuilt engine during the initial break-in period.

First of all, shipping was VERY fast - thanks!
Install was pretty straightforward. Took a little less than 2 hours. The clamps supplied are top-notch.
The sound of this exhaust is great! Very, very deep sound, especially under 2000 RPM. I find it has the most interior resonance from 1500-1700 RPM, but I rarely cruise in that range - and I love the sound anyway. The often-talked-about drone at a 2000 RPM cruise is almost non-existant on my car (3.73 gears, manual trans). At highway cruising speeds, they are not loud, but you can tell they are there if your radio is off. Under heavy throttle, they are fairly loud, but not obnoxious.
I highly recommend this system to people who like hearing their exhaust at part-throttle acceleration as well as WOT. If you like it silent inside with the windows up, you might want to look into quieter alternatives.

Installation wasnt too bad, took about 2.5 hours (most of the time spent trying to gently jack up the car and then lowering it back down. There were three bolts on the left muffler and two on the right. Sounds great

I actually bought these to replace the 17410's that I had installed a couple of years back. Overall I think they are made pretty well. The sound is a little deeper than the 17410's which is nice. They are not too loud but you can tell they are there. Yes there is some drone but same as the reviewer above me I expected that. I have always liked the Flowmaster sound and have never had any problems with their products. It's a good product for a great price. LMP shipped them out immediately. All that being said I have only had them on for a couple of days now but I am happy.

This is a good set of aftermarket mufflers. They sound good and are not too loud. There is a bit of drone from about 1700-2000 Rpm's. It does not bother me, I knew these Flowmasters would do that. I think they are very good and I am satisfied. They do give a very deep tone. I have gotten several compliments about the sound on take-off and idle. If I had it to do over, I would still buy them. Thanks LMPerformance for the best price I could find. You have a customer in me for years to come and I will recomend you to all of my fellow car enthuiasts.

1 day - 1 weekI watched countless YouTube vids of axle backs for my car. Let me say they're essentially useless! Based on the videos I had my heart set on a ford racing or borla touring exhaust. They seemed to have the deep sound I was looking for without being obnoxiously loud. I was avoiding the flowmaster setup based on a few videos that made it sound too high-end and not rumbly. I was set to spend 700 on the borlas but stumbled on a vid of the flowmasters that sounded good. So I decided to risk it to save some dough. I'm not disappointed. I put them on in under an hour. The fit is stellar. So easy to line up in the valence, looks great! If you're looking for a crazy loud system this is NOT for you. It's not much louder than stock, but has a much beefier sound. There's no drone in the cabin unless you really are looking for it. At cruising speeds with the radio on you can't hear the exhaust. Dip your toes into the gas tank and it roars pretty good, but again nothing obnoxious. I think it's perfect for a daily driver.
