American Racing Headers

Ordering parts for your vehicle can be a complex matter with all the terminology on the street and mixed information. Getting the right size, length, application, fitment and part number all take some research to make certain they fit your vehicle. With exhaust systems some terms have become fairly well known.

Cat-back Exhaust

A system that connects after the catalytic converter(s) usually consisting of mid-pipes, tailpipes, mufflers, and tips.

Axleback Exhaust

A system that connects back of the vehicle’s rear axle. Usually found in front of or rear of the axle depending on your vehicle.

American Racing Headers Full system

These systems extends from the cylinder head(s) to the rear axle of the vehicle allowing you to finish the system with an American Racing Headers Pure Thunder Axleback kit that include ARH mufflers and tips. This is a front to back Full exhaust replacement.

American Racing Headers Long System

These systems include the ARH Long Tube Headers, Cat or Off-Road connection pipes leading to mid-point tubing, commonly ending before the Axle section of your vehicle. These systems commonly include mid-pipes such as X-Pipes and H-Pipes.

NASCAR Merge Collector

Something you can’t find anywhere else, The American Racing Headers ARH Merge collector design is part of every ARH header and increases the velocity of the exhaust flow as it exits the header collector and flows into the mid-section of the exhaust system.

Scavenger Spike

At the core of the ARH NASCAR Merge Collector is the American Racing Headers designed Scavenger Spike, which directs exhaust flow through the collector. Carefully designed to increase flow by separating flow tube merge more smoothly thereby reducing turbulence and increase smooth flow exit of exhaust.

Performance and looks is great. The package comes with everything you will need. However, the X pipe fitment leaves something to be desired. The X pipe fits in such a way that it dips or hangs lower than the rest of the exhaust. My local exhaust shop tried flipping it every way concievable and at best it hangs. Since my car is lowered it scrubs on everything. Looks like I will toss it out and build a custom X pipe.

They got them to me very fast and witb no problems what so ever. Did the installation my self and it was super easy to do. They are built exactly right for the vehical you choose. It makes the sound much deeper and more gutsy, plus the added MPG is great.

Wow, the quality, fit and finish of these headers is outstanding! I had JBA shorties on the car and had a best dyno of 253 rwhp and 239lb-ft of torque,+5rwhp and +8rwtq over baseline. The ARH headers/cats bolt on was another 10rwhp and 10lb-ft of torque! That's 15 plus over baseline in hp and 18 plus in torque! Not too bad, not too bad at all! These are quality parts by quality people! These are easier to install then the shorties too!
