SLP Air Box Lid, 1998-99 V-8 Camaro/Firebird.
If you’re the owner of any LS1-powered F-body, you know that one of the more restrictive areas of your car’s performance is its stock air box. All Camaro and Firebirds share the same restrictive air box lid. SLP has a solution for this with its new lightweight composite Performance Air Box Lid. This new lid eliminates the restrictive baffles that you see at the rear of your stock lid along with the fins that are on the inside as well as the intake air resonator assembly. Eliminating those features, along with a larger-capacity, freer-flowing overall design allows this lid to help your engine produce a gain of up to 10 hp at the rear wheels. You can also see up to a 1-tenth improvement at the track. Gains can be even more dramatic when you also install a new high-flow air filter with this lid. You can see up to an additional 5 hp at the wheels with the use of this filter.
