Corsa exhausts from LMPerformance feature straight through designs, different sound levels, and most systems come with different tip options such as the black stealth tips and Polished double wall tips.
There is no drone with the CORSA exhaust system because the CORSA exhaust system uses RSC technology to eliminate problem frequencies that cause interior drone/resonance at cruising speeds. CORSA's Jeep Wrangler exhaust system features a patented non-restrictive Straight-through design reduces back pressure and frees up additional power resulting in improved horsepower and torque. As an additional bonus, your Jeep Wrangler can result in greater fuel economy because of less back pressure and more power.
There are 4 different sound levels available. Touring, Sport, Extreme and non-designated default systems where there is only one sound level. Xtreme - their loudest offering for those who want the loudest badest sounding system out their with an aggressive tone, CORSA's Sport systems for their mid sound level is a great alternative for customers who want an aggressive sounding unique exhaust but who do not necessarily want to hear it all the time. The sport option is a good option for mildly modified vehicles and for comfortable highway cruising, CORSA's Touring exhaust is their quietest system for those with highly modified engines or those who wish to only have a slightly louder tone then stock. If there is no designation on sound level in the part name then the sound level is somewhere between a Sport and a Touring system.
Corsa Exhausts feature 304 Stainless construction throughout and are made in the USA. Corsa dB Series exhausts are their lower cost alternatives for trucks that feature mixed materials for construction and single wall tips depending on application.
History and information about Corsa Performance and their products.
The LMPerformance team considers several things in choosing exhaust systems for its customers. Among these are great sound and improved horsepower. The CORSA exhaust system does a great job in these areas. The CORSA exhaust has an aggressive performance sound and are all acoustically styled and engineered to match the make, model, and harmonics specific to your vehicle. There is no drone with the CORSA exhaust system because the CORSA exhaust system uses RSC™ technology to eliminate "problem" frequencies that cause interior drone/resonance at cruising speeds. CORSA's patented non-restrictive Straight-through design reduces back pressure and frees up additional power resulting in improved horsepower and torque. As an additional bonus, the CORSA exhaust can result in greater fuel economy because of less back pressure and more power.
CORSA ensures the exhaust will last by using Premium 304L stainless steel construction and does not use cheap easily degraded packing materials.
CORSA offers 3 levels of sound: XTREME - their loudest offering for those who want the loudest baddest sounding system out their with an aggressive tone, CORSA'a SPORT systems for their mid sound level is a great alternative for customers who want an aggressive sounding unique exhaust but who do not necessarily want to hear it all the time. The sport option is a good option for mildly modified vehicles and for comfortable highway cruising, CORSA's TOURING exhaust is their quietest system for those with highly modified engines or those who wish to only have a slightly louder tone then stock. No matter your sound preference CORSA and LMPerformance has your covered.
CORSA revolutionized the aftermarket exhaust industry in 1998 when they introduced their extraordinary invention RSC or Reflective Sound Cancellation on the C5 Corvette because this was the discovery that made it possible for CORSA to eliminate on a selective basis the resonant frequencies that cause that unpleasant drone in your exhaust system and they did this by reflecting sound waves out of phase and custom tuning that exhaust note. They continue to diligently work toward their goal of perfecting sound and to this aim they use various kinds of RSC technologies to eliminate the unwelcome drone in your exhaust system and they do not fail to take into consideration OEM design nor performance issues since these are an integral part of the entire system. Today CORSA has hundreds of unique designs for a multiplicity of vehicles and every system is designed to be peculiar to that vehicle. Whether you are in the market for a cat-back system for your Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Jeep, Nissan, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Scion, Subaru, Toyota or Volkswagen CORSA and LMPERFORMANCE have the part you need to give you that remarkable sound quality and performance you crave and if an axle-back is what you have in mind for your BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, or other brands then they can help you there too. Sound range, Date: 2/11/2011
By: Can you hear me now?
Ownership: 1 week - 1 month
I installed the Corsa axle-back dual exit exhaust on by brand new 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (4-door). The fit and finish is excellent. Looks great on this vehicle. My objective was to gain a few more HP through the free-flowing system. The engine is a small displacement, 3.8L, 231 CI, V6. The new exhaust sounds very good at both ends of the spectrum; at idle, and at full throttle. However, the range inbetween is what I would call weak. I think it's because of the small displacement per cylinder. At 2,000 - 3,500 RPM the sound is unique and will take some getting used to. This my be a common issue for other brands as well, since it is difficult to tune the muffler for good sound throughout the range due to the engine and length of the exhaust pipe. I know Corsa has some excellent products for the larger displacement V8's. I think the V6 on this Jeep has caused some new tuning challenges.
Only other modification is cold air induction by Airaid
