The K&N Cold air intake added what seemed to be at least 20 to 30 HP. With a very substantial increase in torque. If i was anyone wanting to start adding performance parts to my 2000 Monte Carlo I would definately start with this intake.It actually releases a very surprising amount of power from 0 to any speed you want to go to all the way to top end. It is truly an amazing difference. like a different car. BUY IT!

I installed this K&N 63 series CAI today. The throttle response is better and the sound is unbelievably amazing! It makes the engine so much louder. The instructions are a tiny bit different if you have a 2008 dakota 4.7L. I had to trim the breather hose about 2 inches, or else it had a small kink. The IAT sensor was a bit of a pain to get in but it fits snug. On the instructions, it shows the "hemi hat" has 2 bolts you need to unscrew, there is only one bolt and a plastic clip that i had to press with a screw driver to get the hemi hat off. The only thing that was kind of a pain was putting the trim on the heat shield, the area where the intake pipe sits was kind of hard to route it on there. i did have to make one hole a tiny bit bigger on one of the brackets because the bolt that had to go through wouldn't fit, 30 seconds with a dremel and it worked like a charm. I cant comment on gas mileage increase just yet, its hard to keep my foot off the pedal! it just sounds so cool! quick little tip on the install, i was looking at the hardware bag and seen i had a extra clamp, it goes on the intake tube where the support for the tube is connected to the AC mount. The instructions did not clearly show that, but the exploded view did. Install time was probably about 45 mins. I definitely give this product a 5/5 rating.

This is the first MOD I did to my 2008 Sierra Denali. All I can say is WOW. Very easy install and made a big change in how the truck runs. What is most inpressive to me is the gas mileage increase. It also rev's better and the low growl when you are getting on the gas is alsome. I highly recomend this MOD. It is well worth the money. LMP is great to deal with and look forward to dealing with them again. Fast shipping as well.
