Thousands of Tri-Ax shifters already installed in Mustangs share some of their features, like an extremely short throw, precise action and stop-bolts to prevent damage to the transmission and linkage under hard usage. The factory steel mounting rail is replaced with a substantial billet beam for more positive location; and upgraded bushings are supplied to further reduce deflection under hard shifting.
