History and information about Flowmaster and their products.
The performance exhaust is an important part of your performance car. Flowmaster is one of the oldest and most respected and recognized names in aftermarket performance exhausts and one of the reasons LMPerformance carries Flowmaster Exhaust systems. For over thirty years Flowmaster has been one of the leaders in the design of specialty aftermarket exhaust parts. Flowmaster was first established to design and manufacture exhausts for racing in California. Flowmaster now produces performance exhaust systems, mufflers, and other products for a wide range of cars (including Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, Corvettes, Chargers), trucks, SUV's, motorhomes and ATV'S. They create a line of high-performance "chambered" mufflers that is well known in the industry.
Flowmaster offers eleven diffferent series of mufflers that give top notch performance and great sound levels and tones. Flowmaster is especially noted for their Flowmaster 40 series muffler, with its original Flowmaster sound and tone.
Another notable product is the American Thunder exhaust system. Because of it mandrel-bent tubing your car will see improvements in performance and fuel economy. The system is corrosion resistant because it is made of aluminized steel tubing. It has two chambers and great sound.
A product that was conceived in order to help solve the noise at race tracks has been the impetus for the consummate FLOWMASTER’s beginning but the company refused to stop there because they knew the significance of their work not only in the racing arena but also in the milieu of performance cars everywhere. The company’s creator had a two-fold goal: to quiet cars at the track and at the same time not hinder their ability to perform successfully in races, and he was successful in his endeavor as evidenced by the company’s long history in the field of exhaust system discovery and production. Continuing on in this innovative vein, FLOWMASTER is unceasing in its efforts to improve on existing products and bring new inventive ideas to the forefront of the automobile industry, and their outstanding research and development team is a testament to that fact as is their thirty year history in the field. This is evident in the five types of exhaust systems on the market today that can satisfy even the most discriminating customer whether they are using the car on the track or in everyday driving and the popular American Thunder exhaust system is just one example of this with its powerful sound suggested by its name and with its ability to improve performance. Every exhaust system is unique and offers you the opportunity to get the sound and performance that suits your driving tastes because they were designed by FLOWMASTER with a multiplicity of driving situations in mind and not just a one for all system. The sui generis technologies for which FLOWMASTER has become widely known, the Delta Flow and the Laminar Flow each have their own exclusive sound qualities and versatility allowing for a copious amount of control by you, the driver. FLOWMASTER creates and manufactures all of its exhaust systems and mufflers in the United States and their products are manufactured for everything from sub-compact cars to turbo-diesel trucks, racing cars and vintage cars. Peruse the multiplicity of FLOWMASTER products on the LMPERFORMANCE web site and find an exhaust system or muffler that will give you the sound and performance you have been after.
LMPerformance and Flowmaster are names you can trust for your exhaust system needs. You can find the exhaust parts you need at a great price on lmperformance.com.

Ownership: 1 week - 1 month
very awesome product, my pony sounds bad it was worth every cent, thanks lm performance and flowmaster.
flowmaster, low grade
This is a good set of aftermarket mufflers. They sound good and are not too loud. There is a bit of drone from about 1700-2000 Rpm's. It does not bother me, I knew these Flowmasters would do that. I think they are very good and I am satisfied. They do give a very deep tone. I have gotten several compliments about the sound on take-off and idle. If I had it to do over, I would still buy them. Thanks LMPerformance for the best price I could find. You have a customer in me for years to come and I will recomend you to all of my fellow car enthuiasts.
I actually bought these to replace the 17410's that I had installed a couple of years back. Overall I think they are made pretty well. The sound is a little deeper than the 17410's which is nice. They are not too loud but you can tell they are there. Yes there is some drone but same as the reviewer above me I expected that. I have always liked the Flowmaster sound and have never had any problems with their products. It's a good product for a great price. LMP shipped them out immediately. All that being said I have only had them on for a couple of days now but I am happy.
2007 Mustang GT with Steeda CAI and SCT X3 93 octane tune
Installation wasnt too bad, took about 2.5 hours (most of the time spent trying to gently jack up the car and then lowering it back down. There were three bolts on the left muffler and two on the right. Sounds great
Flowmaster American Thunder Classic System Axle-Back Exhaust Mustang
First of all, shipping was VERY fast - thanks! Install was pretty straightforward. Took a little less than 2 hours. The clamps supplied are top-notch. The sound of this exhaust is great! Very, very deep sound, especially under 2000 RPM. I find it has the most interior resonance from 1500-1700 RPM, but I rarely cruise in that range - and I love the sound anyway. The often-talked-about drone at a 2000 RPM cruise is almost non-existant on my car (3.73 gears, manual trans). At highway cruising speeds, they are not loud, but you can tell they are there if your radio is off. Under heavy throttle, they are fairly loud, but not obnoxious. I highly recommend this system to people who like hearing their exhaust at part-throttle acceleration as well as WOT. If you like it silent inside with the windows up, you might want to look into quieter alternatives.
