*** Install Note: Included with your SPEC 3.8L billet Flywheel weight and fastener set to be used on engines with a counter balance. There are published cut-off dates in the 99 model year for externally balanced engines, but SPEC recommends that the installer inspect the original flywheel upon removal from the car to determine whether it is internally or externally balanced.Externally balanced flywheels will have a counterweight cast into the back of the flywheel. If the flywheel has the counterweight, install the included weight on the billet flywheel and fasten the screws to 15 ft lds with loctite. Contact SPEC with any questions about counterweight identification, as installing the flywheel with incorrect balance can damage the engine.
